Supplier Shorts: Powerit, Danfoss, Key Technology in the news

Global energy reduction technologies specialist Powerit Solutions, Seattle, said its board elected President & CEO Claes Olsson (pictured, left) to the additional post of chairman. Prior to serving as Powerit's president & CEO, Olsson was CEO of Powerit PS AB, its European predecessor. He previously served as CEO of U.S. operations for Frigoscandia (now JB Technology and formerly FMC Food Tech).
Danfoss LLC, Baltimore, said it will receive a Star of Energy Efficiency award this September from The Alliance to Save Energy. Officials said a special black-tie gala recognizes individuals and organizations that demonstrate an exemplary commitment to advancing energy efficiency. Danfoss said it will be honored for a number of new products designed to advance energy efficiency, including the patented Ecoflow valve, Performer VSD compressor and ERC102 control.
Key Technology Inc. said it appointed Joel Bustos as senior vice president of global operations. Key, Walla Walla, Wash., supplies automated inspection, specialized conveying, and product preparation systems to food processors. Most recently, Bustos was vice president of operations at Aehr Test Systems. Previously, he also served at Celestica Corp. as general manager-Consumer Business Unit, and general manager at the company’s San Jose, Calif., facility.
