Distributor buys sandwich processor
Supermarket food, packaging and supplies distributor Lipari Foods, Warren, Mich., said it purchased Eastside Deli, a Lansing, Mich. processor and supplier of ready-to-eat sandwiches for nearly 1,000 Michigan-based convenience stores and retail outlets.
Lipari said the deal "will bring world-class sandwich-making capabilities to Lipari’s vast offering of products for their customers." In turn, Eastside Deli can offer Lipari-sourced products and services to its customers.
Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Lipari Foods says it distributes a wide range of quality bakery, deli, packaging, seafood, grocery, and confectionary products to nearly 5,000 customers in more than 10 states.
