POLYPROPYLENE LID, BASE FOR ROASTERS

Anchor Packaging added a new, smaller roaster to the Nature’s Bestline of polypropylene lids and mineral-filled polypropylene bases. This new roaster’s shallow base raises the bird higher in the dome, providing an attractive presentation to the consumer. It also features wide unobstructed panels, anti-fog technology drive and a leak-resistant closure to prevent messy spills and provide a table-ready serving platter requiring no re-plating. Available in three sizes, the new, small roaster is ideal for 1- to 1.5-pound whole chickens. Bases are made with 40% natural mineral additives in place of oil-based resin, and the roaster itself can withstand temperatures up to 230°F in warming units, heat lamps and microwaves.

INDUCTION SEAL

Tri-Seal, a division of Tekni-Plex, introduced a new tamper-evident, induction seal liner line, developed with protection and easy-opening functionality. EdgePull induction seals require low peel force to remove. The seals also peel cleanly, which means no adhesive residue/strings to contaminate contents after opening. The pull tab delivers enhanced strength to resist delamination from the rest of the structure when removed by consumers. The liners are typically used with closures ranging from 28-63 mm and are ideal for a wide range of narrow- and wide-mouthed containers. EdgePull PPE was engineered for use with polyethylene and polypropylene containers typically used for dairy applications. Both induction seal materials feature a multi-layer structure with a proprietary heat-seal formulation for optimum performance.
