The METTLER TOLEDO Product Inspection Division announced plans to build a new state-of-the-art facility at its Tampa, Fla., headquarters to accommodate the growth of its business throughout the Americas. The new facility is expected to be completed in late 2017, and will be located 15 miles north of the division's current site in Tampa, which houses the company's Safeline Metal Detection and X-ray Inspection businesses. It will also become home to the Hi-Speed Checkweighing business, which is planned to relocate from Ithaca, N.Y., in 2018.

This investment will bring together the vast experience of METTLER TOLEDO's Hi-Speed and Safeline businesses into a single organization at a fully-integrated and efficient facility, which will be more than twice the size of the current building.

The co-location will also provide a convenient one-stop shop for training, validation and service work for the thousands of existing METTLER TOLEDO installations.
