Eco-barrier paperboard features biodegradable barrier treatment for foodservice applications

Metsä Board, Finland, launched an innovative eco-barrier paperboard with a bio-based, recyclable and biodegradable barrier treatment developed especially for foodservice use.

The new eco-barrier paperboard, Metsä Board Pro FSB EB1, is fluorochemicals-free, and can be used with foods requiring grease resistance up to KIT level 5.

Metsä Board Pro FSB EB1 is available in basis weights of 195-290 g/m2 with all layers hard-sized. It enables high-quality printing on both sides and is suitable for offset and flexo printing.
