Cacique acquires El Sol Foods

Cacique Inc., Los Angeles, acquired El Sol Foods, a Gilbert, Ariz.-based producer of homestyle salsas. The acquisition signals Cacique’s entrance into the salsa category, and allows the company to extend its portfolio of authentic, high-quality Hispanic foods.
Distribution of the new Cacique salsa products will begin regionally in the western United States this May, with nationwide rollout beginning this summer.

Cacique Salsas will be available in nine varieties, including Homestyle, Mild, Medium and Hot, as well as in multiple specialty and organic homestyle selections.
