Paper Converting Machine Co. (PCMC), part of the Barry-Wehmiller Converting Solutions Platform, Green Bay, Wis., acquired RDP Marathon Inc., Canada, and IPT Digital, Sarasota, Fla., to expand its digital printing technology offerings.

RDP Marathon delivers engineered machine solutions for a variety of printing and packaging markets. Through a partnership with IPT Digital, RDP Marathon also provides systems that convert existing presses into high-speed digital printing platforms. Adding this technology to PCMC’s portfolio of solutions will accelerate the company’s growth in its current markets, and support its expansion into new markets, particularly the folded carton business.

“We’re eager to have RDP Marathon and IPT Digital join the PCMC family,” says Stan Blakney, PCMC president. “As we look to augment our print business, their expertise will enable us to quickly break into new markets and diversify our product portfolio. Digital printing continues to experience substantial growth, and we’re excited to enter into that market through this acquisition.”

“We are thrilled to partner with RDP Marathon and IPT Digital, as this investment highlights our commitment to advancing the technology and service we can provide for current and future customers, while cultivating our unique culture of care and collaboration,” adds Bob Chapman, chairman and CEO of Barry-Wehmiller.
