In the past year, Square Roots has deployed new, co-located farms on GFS distribution centers in Kenosha, Wisconsin; Springfield, Ohio; and now Shepherdsville, Kentucky.

Produce from the first Square Roots farm co-located with UNFI is intended to serve UNFI's retail customers in Wisconsin and Minnesota, including the Twin Cities metro area.

Located at the Gordon Food Service distribution center in Kenosha, Square Roots grows a wide variety of fresh greens, including herbs like Basil, Dill, Parsley, and Cilantro; microgreens; and salad mixes. 

‍The company’s first harvests are scheduled for spring 2022, and are expected to reach consumers in the Chicago and Milwaukee metropolitan areas.
