The refrigerated and frozen contract manufacturer announced it will begin winding down operations in Salt Lake City, Utah and Shakopee, Minnesota.

The expansion will add 115,000 square feet of new manufacturing space to support operational efficiency, consistency and long-term growth nationwide.

Production will move to its Tar Heel facility to increase efficiency and better utilize existing capacity.

California Dairies, Inc. (CDI), today announced it will cease operations at its Artesia, California, manufacturing facility, effective immediately. The entire facility will close, affecting approximately 49 employees.

Foremost Farms USA will close its Chilton, Wisconsin, manufacturing facility in July 2020. Built in the 1940s, the Chilton plant makes Italian cheeses including Provolone which is sold into the foodservice market for sandwiches. The 53 employees who work at the location were informed of the company’s plans.
