McCain Foods Canada, a division of McCain Foods Ltd., Canada, announced plans to invest $12 million in its potato processing facility in Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada.
Great American Snacks, Inc., a Nampa, Idaho-based subsidiary of McCain Foods USA, Inc., Lisle, Ill., announced plans to close operations at its Monroe, N.C., manufacturing plant.
McCain Foods is currently evaluating options in both the United States and Canada with final site selection to be based on a number of investment considerations.
The $65 million investment will include a 32,000-square-foot expansion to the existing fry plant as well as state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and technology.
