ColdStorageNews.jpg

January 16, 2025

FreezPak Logistics, a leading provider of temperature-controlled logistics solutions is proud to announce its first ever West Coast facility in Los Angeles, California. This strategic expansion marks a significant milestone in FreezPak’s mission to create a fully connected nationwide network of cold storage facilities. The Los Angeles facility will span 150,000 square feet with the capacity to hold frozen and cooler pallet positions. This location will also offer overseas container plugs, USDA/FSIS/FDA inspections, cross-docking, port drayage, LTL/FTL transportation, dedicated fleets, repacking and same-day order fulfillment. Additionally, it features 14 dock doors and the full suite of services FreezPak customers rely on including storage, distribution, transportation and advanced cold chain management solutions.

The facility is located approximately 20 miles from the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports. As FreezPak’s first location on the West Coast, the Los Angeles facility creates a crucial link between the company’s existing facilities across 8 states and major metropolitan hubs nationwide. This expansion reinforces FreezPak’s ability to serve customers with seamless logistics solutions from coast to coast.

“This new facility in Los Angeles is a monumental step in FreezPak’s growth journey,” said Michael Saoud, co-founder/CEO.

“By establishing a presence in this vital market, we are not only extending our reach to the West Coast but also ensuring our customers have access to the most efficient and innovative cold storage and logistics solutions available,” said David Saoud, co- founder/CEO.

The Saoud brothers' real estate company, Saoud Development, completed 30,083,000 cubic feet of facilities in 2024. The company has expanded its footprint with operations in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Houston, Texas. FreezPak, a fourth-party logistics (4PL) provider, currently operates 13 locations and is strategically planning additional facilities in key port markets throughout the United States and internationally. The company is actively constructing new facilities, including a site in Jacksonville, Florida, expected to be completed in January and another in Norfolk, Virginia.

With this expansion, FreezPak strengthens its ability to provide unmatched service across a wide range of industries, including food, pharmaceutical, and perishable goods. The Los Angeles facility complements FreezPak’s existing facilities ensuring a truly nationwide network for efficient and reliable cold chain solutions.
