Jesse & Ben’s Launches Nationally at Whole Foods, Hits 1,500+ Locations in First Year

A majority of the funding from the round will go toward scaling supply chain capacity to keep pace with national demand, supporting continued retail expansion across conventional grocery, club, and mass channels, and building out the team.

August 23, 2025

Emerging frozen food brand Jesse & Ben’s is proud to announce its national launch at Whole Foods Market – marking a major milestone barely one year after first hitting retail shelves.

Since its debut in June 2024, Jesse & Ben’s has rapidly scaled their distribution, securing placement in more than 1,500 doors across key regional and national retailers including Sprouts Farmers Market, Fresh Thyme, and Whole Foods Market, cementing the brand’s position as a fast-growing player in the frozen aisle offering clean-label, restaurant-quality fries made without seed oils or additives.

Jesse & Ben’s is reaching another big milestone this month: an ecommerce launch in partnership with Thrive Market. With the addition of an online purchasing option, the viral French fry brand is now accessible to its growing fanbase all across the country.

To support the rapid growth, Jesse & Ben’s recently closed a strategic fundraising round.

“We’ve been blown away by how quickly people have embraced our fries,” said Jesse Konig, co-founder and CEO of Jesse & Ben’s. “Before launching the brand, we spent years working in food – running food trucks and opening a restaurant – but nothing could’ve prepared us for the momentum we’ve seen with Jesse & Ben’s. The Whole Foods launch is a huge milestone for us, and we’re more motivated than ever to keep delivering the flavor and quality our community loves.”

Jesse & Ben’s has quickly gained traction by delivering the indulgent, nostalgic flavor of classic fries without compromising on ingredient integrity. Responding to growing consumer demand for better fats, simpler labels, and comfort foods with a wellness-forward twist, the brand’s fries are minimally processed and cooked in high-quality oils like avocado oil and 100% grass-fed beef tallow. Their Sweet Potato Fries, made with beef tallow and available exclusively at Sprouts, are a first for the freezer aisle and a direct answer to what today’s shoppers are craving.

The brand’s rapid growth has also been fueled by a wave of organic social media momentum, with content about Jesse & Ben’s fries generating millions of views across platforms like Instagram and TikTok. From content creators with massive followings to everyday fans driving hours to track down products in stores, the brand has become a word-of-mouth sensation.

 About Jesse & Ben’s
Jesse & Ben’s is reimagining frozen fries with a focus on real ingredients, nostalgic flavor, and better-for-you cooking fats. After years of running food trucks, stadium outlets, and a restaurant in Washington, D.C.’s competitive food scene, co-founders Jesse Konig and Ben Johnson launched a namesake brand of restaurant-quality fries featuring favorites like Classic Sea Salt, Rosemary & Garlic, Tallow & Sea Salt and Sweet Potato Tallow. The brand has grown rapidly since its June 2024 launch through its commitment to clean labels, high-quality sourcing (like its use of 100% grass-fed beef tallow), bold culinary standards and fun behind-the-scenes story-telling. In 2025, Jesse & Ben’s was named “Most Disruptive Product” in the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association’s Penguin Pitch: Emerging Brand Contest, recognized for reintroducing beef tallow in a clean-label fry.
