The Dallas Service Center covers 240,000 square feet and includes 15 loading docks capable of supporting multiple high-efficiency automated and sustainable wash lines. The facility at full capacity will employ over 100 team members across three shifts.

September 9, 2025

IFCO, a global leader in reusable packaging solutions for fresh food, has opened its newest service center in Mesquite, near Dallas, Texas.

Positioned at the crossroads of major transportation corridors, Dallas was selected for its ability to efficiently connect grower partners and retailer customers across the U.S. The city’s central location strengthens IFCO’s national network, enhancing operational speed, scalability and service quality.

The opening comes at a pivotal time, as growing demand for reusable packaging solutions, increased fresh food shipments and rising safety and sustainability standards made expanding IFCO’s service center footprint a strategic imperative. After extensive market analysis and site alignment, IFCO seized the opportunity to establish a solid presence in Dallas.

The Dallas Service Center covers 240,000 square feet and includes 15 loading docks capable of supporting multiple high-efficiency automated and sustainable wash lines. The facility at full capacity will employ over 100 team members across three shifts.

“We’re proud to be a key part of the fresh grocery supply chain, and we take our role seriously. Our new Dallas area facility will service millions of reusable IFCO crates each year and those crates will deliver millions of shipments of fresh grocery products to families across the region. We’re proud to serve the growing needs of our customers and ultimately the end consumer,” said Chris Young, IFCO’s senior vice president of supply chain

  • Latest-generation technology: Showcasing advanced wash and automation systems that prioritize food safety and operational efficiency.
  • Crate processing power: Able to service, stage, and process millions of IFCO crates to serve the growing needs of IFCO customers in the region.

The Dallas center will optimize service across IFCO’s North American retail customer portfolio, focusing on efficient routes and supply lanes where RPC reuse can have the greatest environmental and operational impact, proving that what’s good for business can also be good for the planet.

About IFCO
IFCO is a leading global provider of reusable packaging solutions for fresh foods, empowering customers to participate in the circular economy in 50+ countries. IFCO RPCs ensure a better fresh food supply chain by protecting freshness and quality and lowering costs, food waste and environmental impact compared to single-use packaging.
