FreshEdge, a leading family of fresh food distribution companies serving 25+ states, announced that Steve Grinstead will be transitioning into the role of chairman of the company effective December 31 and will continue to be actively involved in the business, focusing on industry, supplier and customer relations. 

Andrew Iacobucci, a seasoned business leader with deep retail and food distribution experience in both the United States and Canada, has been selected to succeed Steve as CEO.  

Greg Corsaro will remain president of FreshEdge. 

With more than 50 years of experience in all facets of the fresh food industry, Grinstead has successfully led FreshEdge as CEO since mid-2019 when Chicago-based Get Fresh Produce joined Indianapolis-based Piazza Produce and Indianapolis Fruit, forming FreshEdge.  The company’s growth during his time includes expansion to 25 facilities, 1,200 fleet assets, and 2,800 employees.  

Iacobucci’s extensive background in merchandising, supply chain, and sales and pricing functions, combined with his strategic mindset and prior leadership roles, which include CEO of Rona (Montreal) and chief commercial officer and Interim CEO of US Foods, position him exceptionally well to lead FreshEdge.
