Kardex Premieres SnapVac and AutoStore 3D Engine

It demonstrates the simplicity and flexibility of AutoStore’s operating principles and design, as well as helping users understand how it translates into a huge array of real-world applications.
Intralogistics specialist Kardex premiered its new SnapVac automated grid cleaning robot and AutoStore 3D Engine at this year’s PACK EXPO in Las Vegas.
AutoStore 3D Engine is a powerful interactive tool that takes users on advanced virtual tours of a complete AutoStore solution and visitors were able go on an immersive virtual exploration of AutoStore using an intuitive touchscreen display. It demonstrates the simplicity and flexibility of AutoStore’s operating principles and design, as well as helping users understand how it translates into a huge array of real-world applications.
Installed directly on AutoStore R5-series robots with no reconfiguration needed, SnapVac cleans during active operations, delivering consistent coverage across the entire grid with zero system downtime. SnapVac removes up to 80% of grid debris using a low-profile bristle tube and provides real-time cleaning reports via ServiceConsole integration for full visibility and smarter maintenance. The bagless collection bin is quick to empty.
In addition, visitors could learn more about other Kardex AutoStore innovations from the expert team, including the Sensor Cleaning Station (to reduce maintenance, enhance system efficiency, and extend robot lifespan), and the StoreX AutoStore cost calculator.
“We are delighted with the interest shown in our interactive booth at this year’s PACK EXPO. There was a real buzz at our booth and the highlight was the official public launch of Kardex SnapVac. SnapVac is part of our expanding portfolio of tools and continuous innovation as the fastest-growing AutoStore integrator. And we’re just getting started,” said Mitch Hayes, president of Kardex Solutions Americas.
