IPPE ’26 Sets Show Floor Record
New logo, 1,300+ exhibitors highlight world’s largest annual display of meat and poultry production, processing and packaging equipment.
The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), held January 28 – 30 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, is the world's largest annual display of technology, equipment, supplies and services used in the production, processing and packaging of eggs, meat and poultry.
With over 660,000 square feet of exhibit space and 1,300+ exhibitors, it marked the largest show floor in IPPE’s history, organizers announced.
To honor a 15-year collaboration among its three partner organizations – the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, American Feed Industry Association and the Meat Institute – IPPE unveiled a new logo emphasizing the interconnected nature of the poultry, meat and animal food industries.
Fortifi Food Processing Solutions had several of its brands represented, including a Frontmatec Robotic Chine Bone Saw for Beef Strip, which enables processors to increase safety, quality, throughput and profitability with an additional $4-$9 per head in yield. This technology processes up to 850 pieces per hour with consistent high-speed cuts powered by an advanced 6-axis robot and vision system.
Nothum, another Fortifi company, showcased its ProTherm Continuous Fryer, designed to use 33% less frying oil and MHM Automation showcased its RPC Erector for reusable plastic crates, to simplify production-line palletizing of meat, poultry and other perishable goods.Top of Form
The Grote Company Family of Brands showcased their holistic solutions through a demo of a pork belly line featuring a PFI dumper, an incline conveyor, an integrated metal detector, a custom platform and a Grote high speed slicer.
Developed in collaboration with poultry processors, Messer highlighted its KwikChiller, which eliminates CO₂ pellets when chilling fresh poultry in combo bins. With a compact footprint, the inline chilling system removes up to 30% more heat than traditional freezers, making it ideal for high-throughput operations where space is at a premium.
Food safety and inspection systems were on display from companies including KPM Analytics, Fortress Technology and Mettler Toledo, which showcased its Profile Advantage metal detector. The conveyor features stainless-steel construction and tool-less removable components for fast sanitation.
Plenty of packaging providers were on hand, including Ossid, ORBIS, and CRYOVAC, which kicked off its 85th anniversary celebration at IPPE.
Since 1941, CRYOVAC has helped pioneer technologies that are now standard practices across meat processing and today supply shrink bags, vacuum skin packaging and rollstock films along with equipment including rotary vacuum chamber systems and VFFS systems.
JLS Automation debuted Kestrel, a high-speed hygienic robotic collate and load system, specifically engineered for uniform, cylindrical foods like meat snack sticks and sausages.
The system simplifies a traditionally complex process, for higher yield, reduced dependency on manual labor and gain consistent presentation.
And Amcor showcased shelf-life solutions, including its FreshCase vacuum packaging technology which can reduce markdowns and food waste.
In addition to the show floor, IPPE included more than 80 hours of education sessions, providing information on artificial intelligence, animal agriculture sustainability, food safety, worker safety, animal food industry trends, poultry market trends and more. Other featured events included the International Poultry Scientific Forum, the Latin American Poultry Summit, Pet Food Conference, Foundations of Listeria monocytogenes Intervention and Control Workshop, TECHTalks program, New Product Showcase and publisher-sponsored programs.
IPPE 2027 is set for January 26-28 in Atlanta.
