“lift-and-descend” feature.
Bradman Lake has redesigned its Compact 3 unit, a 3-flap carton lid closer. The new IL120 Carton Closer now has a servo motor to control a “lift-and-descend” feature. This enables both infeed and outfeed section overhead conveyors to safely raise vertically if a carton jam up or stoppage is detected.
After the incident is cleared, the overhead conveyors safely descend and the closer restarts. This feature replaces a manually operated pivot and latch method.
The machine can close up to 120 cartons per minute and comes in both in-line and right angle configurations to suit different plant layout requirements. – Bradman Lake
