GEA Convenience-Food Technologies, part of the Düsseldorf-based GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft, appointed new board members, effective Feb. 1.

The changes in the board reflect the ambition to fully seize the opportunities in the protein food market, the company says.

“The growth of the global population and the increasing demand for high-quality food provide us with many opportunities to increase our business,” says Dirk Hejnal, the new segment president. “I am really looking forward to further developing our business and contributing to the strategic direction to expand the food process technology activities of the GEA Group.”

In addition to Hejnal, other new board members include Hans-Jörg Harth as chief financial officer; Marco Gandini as chief operations officer; and Michael Kämpfert as vice president of human resources and legal affairs.
