Goodwives Hors D'oeuvreswill officially open a newly constructed 22,000-square-foot plant in Wilmington, Mass., on March 4. "The move [from Lynn, Mass.] to a new facility means that Goodwives can expand our retail and foodservice presence with the nation's leading supermarkets, hotels, casinos and restaurants," said Doug Mitchell, general manager. "Previously, we were at our capacity."
Goodwives' new operation includes on-site cold storage, a wider loading dock and expanded production and packaging areas. Mitchell said Goodwives plans to expand its product line and hire as many as 50 more workers in 2009.
