In a June profile ofShaw’s Supermarkets, West Bridgewater, Mass., theProvidence (R.I.) Journaltoured Shaw’s East Providence store with Bill Nasshan, the chain’s senior vice president of marketing.
While walking through the meat department, the newspaper said Nasshan pointed to Shaw’s 4:15 Meal Deal merchandising kiosk. Introduced earlier this spring by parentSupervalu Inc., Minneapolis, the Simply Good Meals program combines bundles a main course entrée with two sides (a dinner for four people) for under $15. Meals rotate bi-weekly and are promoted on Shaw’s Web site.
