LOGISTICS BRIEFS: Media reported that Publix Supermarkets Inc., Lakeland, Fla., plans to build a 970,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center just north of the Orlando (Fla.) International Airport. Publix did not comment on its plans. . . . Stonyfield Farm President & CE-Yo Gary Hirshberg will address a "Greening the Supply Chain" conference, Sept. 17, 2009 at the Embassy Suites Boston at Logan Airport. Other speakers include David Walker, PepsiCo's director of environmental sustainability; and Dave Crowley, senior director of EHS for dairy processor HP Hood. . . . Multi-temp public warehousing and logistics services provider Pacific Coast Warehouse Co., Chino, Calif., said it hired Jim Marcoly as president. Marcoly most recently was vice president of client solutions for Weber Distribution.
