PMA hires Treacy for supply chain post
The Produce Marketing Association (PMA), Newark, Del., said it hired Edmund Treacy as vice president of supply chain efficiencies, a newly created post.
Officials said Treacy has more than 20 years of senior management experience in logistics and supply chain management experience. He has worked for Canadian retailers Sobeys and Loblaw Cos.
PMA said Treacy will monitor and forecast trends related to supply chain efficiencies, and design and maintain related products, services and educational events for PMA members. He also will serve as staff lead and technical resource to the industrywide Produce Traceability Initiative and lead all data synchronization and alignment initiatives for PMA.
