French material handling firm buys Retrotech
France's SAVOYE said its Chicago-based subsidiary, SAVOYE Inc., purchased Retrotech Inc., a Fishers, N.Y., firm specializing in the design, installation, modernization, and support of automated material handling systems (AS/RS) for warehouse/WIP tracking, control and order fulfillment.
Terms were not disclosed.
SAVOYE integrates equipment for automated order preparation and fulfillment, mechanized packaging for shipping, high-speed sorting and pallet handling. The firm said it also develops software for warehousing, transportation and supply chain activities.
"Retrotech has earned a solid reputation for first-rate engineering services and support that we can now offer to our North American customers," said Jack LeVan, Savoye Inc. president. "We look forward to building upon the Retrotech name, employees, location and management team led by President Pete Hartman."
