Logistics Briefs: RLS hires Pluciennik; Associated Wholesale Grocers eyes new DC
RLS Logistics, Malaga, N.J., hired John Pluciennik as vice president of business development. Pluciennik will assist RLS' current business and be responsible for regional growth initiatives outside the Northeast. RLS Logistics provides integrated services involving public refrigerated and frozen warehousing, transportation and distribution. It operates three public refrigerated warehouses in Malaga and Vineland, N.J., as well as Pittston, Pa.
Industrial Info Resources, Sugar Land, Texas, reported that Associated Wholesale Grocers, Kansas City, Kan., is scouting locations for a food distribution center in Gulf Coast region. AWG's newest member store locations are in Russellville, Ark., Magee, Miss., and Smyrna, Ga., according to the company's website.
Material handling equipment supplier TGW, Spring Lake, Mich., said it hired Tom Swovick as systems sales manager for the food and beverage vertical market. Officials said Swovick previously held similar positions with Retrotech Inc., Dematic and Alliance Automation and has more than 30 years’ experience in material handling automation.
