Harvest Meat Co., Inc., a San Diego, Calif.-based distributor of protein products to retail and foodservice customers, acquired certain distribution assets from Randall Foods, Inc., Vernon, Calif. Harvest will also assume operation of Randall Foods’ distribution center in Los Angeles. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"The Randall distribution business is a good fit for Harvest. Following the sale, Randall Foods will continue processing and marketing its value-added processed fresh meat products, including the company's Moist & Tender Chicken, Easy Does It Meal tray packs, marinated meat products and other gourmet lines.
