Heavy Weight Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs) from Integrated Systems Design, Wixom, Mich., are a new generation of VLMs designed to handle up to 2,204 pounds per IDS heavy weight modulestray.

Said to save up to 85% of wasted floor space and providing ergonomic access to materials, this unit can automatically "shuffle" the trays and re-optimize to find additional capacity.

Integrated hoists, lifts, carts and robotics make the VLM ideal for ergonomic worker safety concerns, and its modularity allows the system to be moved and height changed to match evolving needs in the future.

With the new 2,204-pounds-per-tray capacity, VLMs can handle heavier products and materials, higher quantities of items, high-value pallets, containers and much more, and can be integrated with carts, conveyors, pick-and-put lights, batch stations, weigh scales and barcode readers.
