Douglas Battery, Winston-Salem, N.C., introduced the new high-speed, fully automatic, high-frequency Raptor Rapid charger for large-scale, multi-shift industrial lift truck applications.

The Raptor Rapid charger returns batteries to a full state of charge in about a quarter of the time when compared to conventional chargers. Available for both wall and floor mounting, the modular configuration of the Raptor Rapid charger provides the flexibility to maintain optimum efficiency at all times. If a module faults, the charger bypasses the module in order for charging to continue to keep operations productive.

The new charger returns batteries to a full state of charge without generating excess heat, ultimately reducing energy usage and protecting the battery from the risk of damage from excessive heat.
