DENSO ADC, Long Beach, Calif., introduced a new line of high-performing handheld scanners that are said to be among the lightest, most rugged on the market.

The GT20 Series barcode terminals offer superior accuracy and operational ease in a high-tech scanner as light as a TV remote control (weighing only 180 grams), yet tough enough to withstand a harsh industrial environment.
 
Available in 1D and 2D models, the GT20 is designed for precise, high-speed reading and accurately captures data even when codes are dirty or blurred. The scanner also quickly reads codes displayed on liquid crystal screens such as computers and smart devices, offers confirmation by light, sound or vibration, and has photo capability for capturing and transmitting images on the spot when more product verification is needed.
 
Built to withstand repeated drops, it is also designed for use in dusty or wet conditions and extreme temperatures ranging from -4°F to 122°F.
 
The 1-D model is compatible with wide linear barcodes, and 2-D units have a range of 360 degrees to read matrix codes from any angle regardless of orientation.
