Hy-Vee to build production center for meal kits, prepared foods

Hy-Vee Inc. announced plans to invest more than $86 million to build a new production center for prepared foods and meal kits at its Ankeny, Iowa, operation.
Plans call for expanding the Hy-Vee-owned Perishable Distributors of Iowa warehouse and build a $64 million facility that will house the grocer's central bakery and produce prepared foods and meal kits.
