TricorBraun, St. Louis, acquired Pacific Bag, LLC, a Woodinville, Wash.-based distributor of flexible packaging. TricorBraun will combine Pacific Bag with its existing flexible packaging business, Taipak, which it acquired in November 2017, to create TricorBraun Flex, a new business unit focused on flexible packaging.

“This is an important day for TricorBraun and a natural step in our evolution as we build the global packaging leader,” says Court Carruthers, president and CEO, TricorBraun. “The acquisition of Pacific Bag further bolsters our presence in the flexibles space, building on our highly successful acquisition of Taipak. We are excited to welcome Pacific Bag to the TricorBraun family.”

Pacific Bag serves more than 4,500 customers in 50-plus countries from multiple locations. The company’s executive team, including Mark Howley, chief executive officer, will remain with TricorBraun.

TricorBraun Flex will continue to operate out of existing locations in Seattle, Wash.; Philadelphia; and Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, Canada.
