AutoStore is a modular, highly-automated e-commerce fulfillment system that can be placed almost anywhere for in-store grocery micro-fulfillment. AutoStore provides what is said to be the highest density of cubic space utilization of any automated storage and pick system. For example, 15,000 SKUs can be stored within 6,500 square feet. AutoStore consists of a 3-dimensional aluminum grid system of self-supporting bins that are moved to pick stations by independently-operating robots. Each robot has two sets of wheels that enable it to move along perpendicular axes. This makes it possible for all robots to reach any position and any bin on the grid independently.

LUBE-FREE AIR HOIST
Harrington Hoists introduced new TCL Series lube-free air hoists, which operate without air supply lubrication, leaving the surrounding environment free of oil mist from the air exhaust. These TCL Series hoists are available in ¼-, ½- and 1-ton capacities with either cord or pendant controls, and have an unlimited duty cycle for continuous operation. Standard features include a spring-loaded, multi-vane motor design for fine feathering control, adjustable lifting and lowering speeds and an external speed adjustment screw.

RECYCLABLE CARDBOARD TRAY FOR FRESH FOOD PACKAGING
Cascades launched an innovative container for fresh food packaging in the North American market. This cardboard tray is certified according to Forest Stewardship Council standards, is made from 100% recycled fibres and is fully recyclable thanks to the use of a water-based barrier coating that protects against humidity. This patented coating is a recyclable and compostable replacement solution for traditional wax- or plastic-based applications. Plus, its ability to maintain a rigid form when refrigerated makes it an ideal solution for packaging fruits, vegetables and proteins.

WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS FOR FRESH-CUT PROCESSORS
Better Fresh Technology introduced STT and AquaFew water treatment systems, dubbed the future of water sanitation and treatment systems for fresh-cut processors. The STT systems allow processors to lower chemical concentrations in current processes due to reduced surface tension through electrolyzed oxygenated water. Both STT and AquaFew proprietary patented technology reduce residual pesticide and fungicide, and provide post-harvest treatment through advanced electrolysis. The systems reduce the condensation in the processing facility, and can be used in cooling towers and boiler treatment.
