Savannah, the “Hostess City of the South,” is home to a hot cold storage market.

The winning foodservice distributor or logistics provider will be featured in R&FF's September issue and on an upcoming podcast episode.

There are 27,000 pallet positions and blast freezing capacity planned for the 198,000-square-foot facility. 

An automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) combines equipment and controls to handle, store and retrieve materials or products as needed with precision, accuracy and speed under a defined degree of automation. 

Expected to open in 2025, it will be among the largest automated CPG distribution centers in North America.

The 142,000-square-foot site, built by Ti Cold, is part of a three-phase project.
