MariMed, a multi-state cannabis operator focused on health and wellness, announced a joint collaboration with Boston ice cream brand Emack & Bolio’s to create a line-up of cannabis-infused vegan and dairy ice cream in outrageous flavors. The ice cream will contain MariMed’s formulations that include the same full spectrum of natural cannabinoids and terpines from whole plants as are used in MariMed’s award-winning brands, such as Betty’s Eddies and K Fusion. This innovative new category of cannabis products is expected to debut in Massachusetts this year, followed by launches in other legal cannabis markets.
Dairy-Free ice cream is one of the fastest growing subcategories within the industry, and with more than half of U.S. households now buying plant-based foods it will benefit restaurateurs to add inclusive options to their menus (Source: Plant Based Foods Association and The Good Food Institute). Hood, the leading dairy brand in New England, has teamed up with Boston-based brand, Wahlburgers, to celebrate National Ice Cream Month and Ice Cream Sandwich Day this summer. Throughout National Ice Cream Month in July, customers who dine in and purchase a Wahlburgers kids’ meal will receive a free Hood Birthday Cake Mini Ice Cream Sandwich.
Hanan, the 75-year-old manufacturer of wholesale whipped toppings, icings, and dessert fillings and original creator of Tasty Whip, is offering Sunrise Supreme, its proprietary vegan soft-serve ice cream--in chocolate and vanilla flavors--to distributors, restaurant chains, and food retailers nationwide.
Perry’s Ice Cream is launching new flavors for spring 2021. Their latest premium family size introductions will debut regionally at grocery and retail stores and made available for purchase online across the continental U.S. Also, in the lineup for release, two new three-gallon tub flavors for scoop shop and foodservice customers and the addition of a retail cross-over flavor.
Plans include a co-branded ice cream sold only at Progressive Field and in Northeast Ohio stores.

The Cleveland Indians announced a new partnership with Perry’s Ice Cream, a Great Lakes regional brand and Upstate New York’s #1 ice cream choice. The new partnership is a four-year deal through 2023. As part of the new partnership, Perry’s will work with the Tribe to develop a co-branded ice cream flavor that will be available for purchase at the ballpark and in stores around Northeast Ohio.
