Tyson Foods, Inc., Springdale, Ark., announced plans to acquire the poultry rendering and blending assets of American Proteins, Inc., Cumming, Ga., and AMPRO Products, Inc., Gainesville, Ga., for approximately $850 million.

Valley Proteins, Winchester, Va., acquired the Perdue Agribusiness rendering business, which includes existing supply agreements with Perdue processing facilities and two rendering facilities located in Accomac, Va., and Lewiston, N.C.

The Springdale (Ark.) Morning News said Tyson Foods Inc., Springdale, Ark., has acquired Central Industries, a Forest, Miss., rendering company.
