Pitaya Foods, one of the fastest growing brands in the frozen fruit category, continues to challenge the status quo and is shaking up the frozen snack aisle once again with the brand's newest line of Swirl Smoothie Bowls, delicious, indulgent, and nutrient-forward snacks that do not require compromise, available at Target locations nationwide.

As an innovative and mission driven Certified B Corp brand, Pitaya Foods creates a wide range of premium quality frozen exotic superfruit products utilizing organic and sustainable farming practices, prioritizing environmental responsibility, and supporting the communities the brand sources from.

The new Swirl Smoothie Bowl line is non-GMO, USDA Organic certified, dairy free, gluten free, and vegan, as well the vibrantly bright colors and flavors are natural and plant-based from spirulina and dragon fruit. Inspired by boutique smoothie shop creations, these new single-serving, ready-to-eat bowls transform snacking with café-quality layers and nutrient-dense organic superfruits in a convenient format.

The Swirl Smoothie Bowls line includes three varieties:

  • •Acai & Strawberry: Rich and dreamy fruit-forward combination of acai and strawberries swirled with cocoa fudge and packed with six essential B Vitamins.
  • Blue Coconut & Pineapple: A naturally blue bowl of sweet pineapple, coconut, and blue spirulina mixed with swirls of dragon fruit and coconut providing 25% of your daily Vitamin C.
  • Passion Fruit & Dragon Fruit: A tangy tropical blend of passion fruit and dragon fruit layered with strawberry pieces and mango puree for a refreshing contrast of sweet and tart, plus 25% of your daily Vitamin E.

"The new Swirl Smoothie Bowls capture the vibrant, layered creations from smoothie shops in a convenient grab-and-go format," said Chuck Casano, CEO and co-founder of Pitaya Foods. "We're thrilled to expand our partnership and product offerings with Target, this new line was a direct result of listening to our consumers and wanting to meet their evolving demand for indulgence and better-for-you ingredients. These unique and bright smoothie bowls add a little magic to the frozen snack aisle, bringing new users into the category."

Current smoothie bowl offerings in the market fail to compare to a smoothie shop creation or focus solely on function, whereas Pitaya Foods' Swirl Smoothie Bowls prioritize taste with a balance of real fruit, health-forward ingredients and vibrant colors for a delicious and decadent experience. These fun bowls bring together tropical flavor combinations with unique swirls for an indulgent, yet better-for-you snack packed with nutrition, Vitamin C, and organic real fruits.

To date Pitaya Foods has helped to protect over 600 hectares from deforestation, supported over 1,000 farms to become USDA Certified Organic and non-GMO Project Verified, and created over 200 new jobs for single moms in Nicaragua. Pitaya Foods' products are available in over 15,000 retailers and 5,000 food service outlets nationwide.
