The GSF Foundation – a Golden State Foods (GSF) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in need in the areas where GSF associates live and work – recently appointed Vanessa Hugon Badal as its executive director.
This is a significant appointment, as Hugon Badal brings a proven accomplishment record of transforming community engagement into tangible results. Most recently, Hugon Badal spearheaded two groundbreaking initiatives:
- The Focus on Food program achieved 100% committee participation, leading to the donation of 1.5 million meals to food-insecure children and families – its largest contribution ever.
- The 2024 Associate Campaign reached 80% company-wide giving involvement, marking its highest participation since 2012.
Hugon Badal’s leadership has consistently driven increased impact and sustainable growth for the GSF Foundation.
“I’ve watched the foundation grow into an even more powerful force for good, and I’m excited to take on this role,” Hugon Badal said. “Our associates are the heart of this mission. Their compassion and commitment turn our vision into real change. Together, we’re not just supporting children and families in need; we’re building stronger communities in the areas where our associates live and work.”
