Pete & Gerry’s Hatches New Egg Offering with Organic Pasture-Raised

As part of this mindset shift, eggs are gaining renewed attention as a reliable, everyday protein source. Nearly two-thirds of Americans say they eat eggs weekly specifically for their protein content, reinforcing their role as a staple in the modern protein routine.

September 8, 2025

Pete & Gerry's Organics, LLC, a pioneer in humane egg farming for nearly 30 years, announced a brand new product to its lineup: Pete & Gerry’s Organic Pasture Raised Eggs. Now available in grocery stores coast-to-coast, these eggs combine the brand’s most premium attributes (Organic feed and Pasture-Raised outdoor access) into one carton at a more accessible price point than similar products on the market.

With the national rollout of its new Organic Pasture Raised Eggs, Pete & Gerry’s is once again propelling the egg category forward with expanded offerings in this high-growth segment.

Laid by hens raised on USDA Certified Organic farms, these eggs represent the “Golden Yolk Standard.”

Each hen enjoys at least 108 square feet of lush pasture, where they are free to soak up sunshine, take self-care dust baths, forage for bugs and greens, and socialize as nature intended. It’s a lifestyle that leads to more vibrant yolks, naturally rich in choline, and eggs consumers can both savor and feel good about cracking.

“As more consumers look for food that reflects their personal values, whether it’s animal welfare, health and nutrition, or support for local family farmers, we’re proud to offer our Organic Pasture Raised Eggs to shoppers nationwide,” said Tom Flocco, CEO of Pete & Gerry’s. “These eggs, along with our full portfolio of offerings, represent our deep commitment to healthy hens, healthy eggs, healthy planet: to treat animals right, partner with and support family farms, and produce nature’s perfect protein that is both nourishing and responsibly sourced. With the broadest offering in premium eggs, we are also able to help our retail partners deliver value and quality to their shoppers everyday”

This launch comes at a pivotal moment for the egg industry, following a widespread outbreak of avian influenza that has underscored the vulnerabilities of conventional egg production. As consumers grow increasingly aware of where their food comes from, the demand for premium, transparent, and sustainably produced eggs has never been stronger. Pete & Gerry’s Organic Pasture Raised Eggs meet this moment head-on, expanding the brand’s offerings by providing an even more ethical and resilient choice.

Pete & Gerry’s has long championed ethical egg farming - the first to do it right and still doing it best – as first egg producer in the country to become Certified Humane in 2003 and attain B Corp status in 2013.They achieved their 5th B Corp recertification this year, a testament to supporting high social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

About the Pete & Gerry's Family of Brands
The Pete & Gerry's family has been raising hens for generations and is committed to bringing consumers the highest-quality organic, free-range and pasture-raised eggs via its brands and products, including Pete & Gerry’s Organic Pasture Raised, Pete & Gerry's Organic Free Range, Pete & Gerry's Pasture Raised, and Nellie's Free Range. Pete & Gerry's is a values-led company dedicated to the humane treatment of animals and to supporting the livelihoods of family farmers, each of whom follow the strictest standards of humane animal treatment, safety, and environmental sustainability. In 2003, the company became the first Certified Humane egg producer in the US, and in 2013 it became the first egg producer in the world to achieve Certified B Corporation status. Pete & Gerry's believes hens deserve a safe, comfortable place to live a happy, healthy, natural lifestyle, and that family farmers deserve the right to keep their land and income without having to resort to the unhealthy and inhumane factory-farm practices plaguing this country.
