Novus Foods Debuts Winky Protein Pudding

The launch comes at a time when high-protein snacking continues to grow, but consumers are increasingly pushing back on products that prioritize function at the expense of taste. Winky is designed to meet both — delivering on nutrition without compromising the experience.

Novus Foods is introducing Winky Protein Pudding — a refrigerated snack built on a simple idea: you shouldn’t have to sacrifice taste to eat better.

While much of the protein category has trained consumers to expect chalky textures and compromise, Winky flips that expectation. It leads with what people actually want first, creamy, indulgent pudding, with nutrition that follows.

Each 3.5-ounce cup contains 10 grams of protein with no artificial sweeteners and no added sugar. Made with whole milk, the result is a product that feels like dessert first, without giving up the functional benefits consumers are looking for.

Winky launches with flavors chosen for their nostalgic pull:

  • Chocolate
  • Vanilla
  • Salted Caramel
  • Birthday Cake (Target exclusive)

The launch comes at a time when high-protein snacking continues to grow, but consumers are increasingly pushing back on products that prioritize function at the expense of taste. Winky is designed to meet both — delivering on nutrition without compromising the experience.

"For years, refrigerated desserts have ignored nutrition and protein brands have ignored taste. Consumers stopped accepting that tradeoff a long time ago — the category just hasn't caught up. Winky is what happens when you stop asking people to settle. Great taste and nutrition aren't an either/or; they're the baseline," said Matt Paolucci, vice president of commercial strategy.

Winky will roll out nationally at Kroger, HEB, Target, Meijer, Wakefern and Walmart.
