Provisur, Nothum Partner on Integrated Food Processing Lines

food processing partnership
Provisur/Nothum

The companies provide a seamless, turnkey approach to chicken nugget production, from grinding and forming through battering, breading and frying. Provisur's Weiler and Formax product lines provide industry expertise in grinding and forming applications, while Nothum specializes in automated coating and frying systems. Together, these companies eliminate the bottlenecks and integration challenges food processors often encounter when working with multiple equipment suppliers.

July 17, 2026

Provisur Technologies and Nothum Food Processing Systems have formed a strategic partnership to deliver customized food processing solutions that streamline production and simplify equipment integration.

The collaboration brings together two of the food industry's leading equipment manufacturers, each with decades of experience designing poultry processing solutions.

As part of Fortifi’s portfolio of global food processing brands, Provisur and Nothum are positioned to work together from the earliest stages of a project to help customers simplify equipment sourcing, streamline installation and reduce the complexities often associated with large-scale processing line investments.

For food processors, fully integrated processing lines frequently require coordination among multiple suppliers, engineering teams and technologies, which can create challenges that affect overall project execution. By leveraging the expertise of both Provisur and Nothum within a single collaborative framework, customers gain access to a more coordinated process designed to boost efficiency within their production.

"Food processors are increasingly looking for companies that can simplify complex projects," said Charlie Tarantino, director of sales at Provisur Technologies. "Our collaboration with Nothum allows us to bring together complementary technologies and expertise for our customers so they can move from concept to production with greater confidence and ease."

The partnership addresses a common challenge facing food processors today: ensuring that individual pieces of equipment function as a cohesive production system. With this collaboration, food processors can reduce integration challenges, improve startup readiness, and achieve more consistent production outcomes.

Food processors also benefit from shared application expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from product development and process validation to installation and commissioning. Customers can evaluate and refine chicken nugget products before production begins through Provisur's 20,000-square-foot state-of-the-art Innovation Center in Mokena, Illinois, as well as Nothum's Solutions Studio in Springfield, Missouri.

These facilities allow processors to test recipes, validate equipment configurations, and optimize complete processing lines before implementation.

"Successful processing lines are completely dependent on how well each machine in the line works with the others,” said Philip Hurwitz, vice president and general manager at Nothum Food Processing Systems. "By working in tandem with Provisur, we're providing customers with a more integrated solution that supports their product quality, performance and long-term production success."

Through this collaboration, food manufacturers gain access to a broader range of processing technologies, coordinated project support and a streamlined path from system design through installation and production startup.
