Keystone, Stellar combine on new plant
Stellar, Jacksonville, Fla., said it will provide full design-build services for Keystone Foods' new 185,000-square-foot chicken processing facility in Gadsden, Ala. Scheduled to open in September 2009, the operation will feature three processing lines to cook, cool and package products. The Gadsden site also will feature a wastewater treatment facility. Keystone Foods also will lease a portion of the property to Southern Cold Storage, which will build an attached 75,000-square-foot distribution center.
