J&J Snack Foods buys California Churros
Although terms were not disclosed, officials said California Churros had 2009 annual sales of approximately $11 million and that company founder Jorge Martinez continues with the business in Colton.
California Churros' website says the company began in 1980. Today, the business' 40,000-square-foot plant produces frozen churros for retail, deli and foodservice channels, including non-commercial school distribution.
