Danfoss, a supplier of electronic and mechanical components and control systems for refrigeration and air conditioning, heating and power electronics, said it was recognized by the Alliance to Save Energy for its innovation and technology contributions to the energy efficiency arena. Robert Wilkins, president of Danfoss North America, accepted the Innovative Star of Energy Efficiency Award on behalf of Danfoss during the Alliance’s 18th annual "Evening with the Stars of Energy Efficiency" awards dinner on Sept. 14 in Washington, D.C.
Food inspection, sorting, conveying and process systems supplier Key Technology Inc., Walla Walla, Wash., said it hired Rob Flodin as a major account manager responsible for the company's relationship with ConAgra Foods. Flodin most recently was a plant Manager for Aweta Autoline Systems. Previously, he served as West Coast sales manager for Doboy Inc. and Northwest sales manager for for Bosch Packaging Systems. Officials said Flodin will work closely with ConAgra, parent to French fry giant Lamb-Weston, on joint Key/ConAgra strategic plans.
High-speed packaging equipment supplier Thiele Technologies Inc., Minneapolis, said it hired Braden Beam as business unit manager for flexible packaging.
