Cedar’s Mediterranean Foods, Inc., Ward Hill, Mass., said it hired Bruce J. Rubin, as vice president. Officials said Rubin, a 30-year-plus food industry veteran, most recently was president of Tribe Hunnus, Taunton, Mass.

While at Tribe Hummus for nearly 25 years, Rubin held several positions as vice president of sales, general manager, and president, said Cedar's officials. They noted that Rubin "was a driving force" behind Tribe’s national growth and oversaw the company’s sale to Osem Investments, a Nestle subsidiary

“We are excited to welcome Bruce into our organization, as a seasoned professional, who is already an experienced executive with a strong track record in the Mediterranean foods industry. He will help us meet our aggressive growth trajectory,“ said Charles Hanna, CEO and president of Cedar’s Mediterranean Foods, Inc. “Bruce’s solid understanding of critical sales and marketing initiatives make him the ideal choice to lead Cedar’s growth strategy. We look to Bruce’s experience to assist us in charting a course that will not only manage our growth, but take us in new directions based on our expertise.”
