'Tis the season! Regional processor Smith Dairy Products Company, Orrville, Ohio, said it has begun shipping its Ruggles Candy Cane Holiday Edition premium ice cream.

“For us, the holiday season begins when our Candy Cane premium ice cream arrives in grocers’ freezers,” said Penny Baker, Smith Dairy's director of marketing. “Each year we look forward to offering this festive flavor to ice cream lovers everywhere.”
 
Baker says Ruggles Candy Cane, still in 1.75-quart containers, mixes red peppermint candy into cool peppermint ice cream and sells for a suggested retail to $4.99 to $5.69.
