Now casual dining patrons can get their favorite cheese flavors in a unique, fun form.

That's how McCain Foods, Lisle, Ill., describes new Anchor Cheese Shotz. Officials note that cheese appetizers are among the most important sales and profit drivers on a casual dining menu, and "new Anchor Cheese Shotz deliver against the consumer desire for more variety in this all-important category."

McCain says Cheese Shotz are "light and crispy on the outside, and soft and creamy on the inside – the perfect combination of crunch and cheesy goodness that patrons love." Officials say the poppable form is fun and perfect for patron sharing, plus gives the operator flexibility to vary the portion size for small plates, combo deals and appetizer platters. 

Anchor Cheese Shotz are made with real cheese and are available in two flavors: Mozzarella-Parmesan Cheese Shotz and Pepper Jack Cheese Shotz.
