NatureRaised Foods, Wilkesboro, N.C., expanded its NatureRaised Farms brand with a line of frozen chicken raised without the use of antibiotics or added hormones and fed a 100% vegetarian diet.

The raising practices for all chickens in NatureRaised Farms products are certified by an independent third-party animal welfare program, which ensures the well-being and proper handling of the birds. 

“More than ever, consumers want choices when they shop for their families,” says Joe DePippo, senior vice president of natural foods business development for Tyson Foods, Springdale, Ark., which owns NatureRaised Foods and the NatureRaised Farms brand. “Research shows strong and growing demand for all-natural and minimally processed foods, and that’s the market we’ll fill with NatureRaised Farms products.”

 The line extension includes Gluten Free Grilled Chicken Breast Fillets, Gluten Free Grilled Chicken Breast Strips, Whole Grain Chicken Breast Nuggets and Southern Style Crispy Chicken Strips, all in 12-ounce packages.
