Cup Filling and Sealing Machine
Fill-Tech Solutions, Largo, Fla., debuted the new Fill-Star IL-81 cup filling and sealing machine.
Designed to run hot-filled soup into 401 and 410 diameter containers, this Fill-Star is controlled by an Allen Bradley CompactLogix L45 PLC. The seven-servo axis uses Allen Bradley Kinetics 6000 controllers and A/B food-grade washdown servo motors.
Custom NEMA 4X overhead electrical enclosures enhance the machine’s washdown ability. Servor motors use the main drive, filler, fill nozzles, heat seal hands, stripper plate, cup out-feed lift and cup out-feed sweep to deliver the cups onto two parallel out-feed conveyors.
