New York-based IPC Beverage Group introduced EnergIce, what is said to be the first of its kind vitamin-enriched premium ice bar that is designed to revolutionize the sports hydration and energy category.

EnergIce has been tested and certified by global public health organization NSF International, earning the NSF's Certified for Sport Certification, which proves that this product does not contain harmful levels of contaminants and is free of more than 189 banned substances.

“EnergIce is a product inspired by a team of parents, elite athletes and coaches looking for an alternative to what they saw being consumed during sporting events,” says Glenn Firestone, chief executive officer. “Not only are the most prevalent sports drinks loaded with sugars and stimulants, they’re also rarely finished and contribute to a massive amount of waste due to their packaging and serving size. We’re excited to offer the sports/fitness community a healthier, less wasteful way to re-hydrate and get the energy they need for peak performance.”

EnergIce premium ice bars contain essential B-vitamins, including B3, B5, B6 and B12. IPC Beverage Group partnered with WILD Flavors, Erlanger, Ky., Jel Sert, West Chicago, Ill., to develop and produce EnergIce. They come in ARTIC BLAST Blue Raspberry, ROCKET FUEL Fruit Punch and E-LECTRIC Lemon Lime flavors.
