METAL DETECTOR INTEGRATED WITH IN-LINE EQUIPMENT

Easily integrate a CEIA metal detector with any checkweigher or other in-line equipment with the new CEIA THS/RB-800 system from Heat and Control. Only 31.5 inches long, this system includes a CEIA THS/SL21 series slim-line metal detector, round belt conveyor, an optional conveyor speed-sensing encoder and operating controls, all pre-assembled on a sanitary support frame. The RB-800 system comes in models THS 21, 21E, 21E-3F and the MS21, which features CEIA’s proprietary multi-spectrum technology that rejects without reducing detection sensitivity. The MS21 typically detects smaller particles of 316 stainless-steel, ferrous and non-ferrous metals in applications such as cheese, wheat tortillas, fresh spinach leaves, ground meat and partially frozen foods. Standard features include automatic learning and tracking of product effects, high immunity to environmental interference, data memory for up to 500 products, password-protected access for up to 40 employees and records and signature management compliance with FDA Title 21 CFR Part 11 for data security, integrity and traceability.

ROUTE CONTROL SOFTWARE

Paragon Software Systems developed Paragon Route Control, a calendar that creates and manages routes based on time and day-related local, state and national regulations and road closures resulting from major public events. Users can specify alternate routes between two locations by vehicle type and identify when the alternate routes should be used. Paragon then applies these rules at the relevant time of day, week or month depending on vehicle type, e.g. a 53-foot tractor/trailer cannot travel along this highway between midnight and 6 a.m. Details of detours and events are created using a calendar that can be stored and re-used; algorithms within the software then calculate the best driver schedules every time.
