Dorner’s newly redesigned AquaGard 7350 V2 Series are now available in D-Tools, which is the company’s online conveyor configurator. D-Tools, which includes 2D and 3D CAD libraries and other functions, allows users to construct simple or complex conveyor packages, as well as individual components such as gear motors and mounting packages, support stands and accessories. The AquaGard 7350 V2’s Positive Drive and LPZ (flat and cleated belt) models with D-Tools gives project engineers, plant managers and others the ability to design an AquaGard conveyor to fit their exact application in a matter of minutes. Built for numerous sanitary applications within baking, pet food, packaging and other industries that require occasional wipedown cleanings of the conveyor, the platform includes what is said to be the safest, most advanced modular curve chain conveyor in the industry.

FAST-DRY, SOLVENT-BASED INK FOR SEMI-, NON-POROUS MATERIALS
Matthews Marking Systems announced LS-6101, a fast-dry, solvent-based ink developed specifically for thermal ink jet print technologies in single-use cartridges. LS-6101 provides numerous advantages, including a 1- to 2-second dry time and excellent substrate adhesion on semi-porous materials such as coated stock, ceramics and wood. Utilizing a solvent-resistant bladder cartridge, the LS-6101 extends cartridge shelf life up to 7 months when stored at room temperature and up to 12 months in refrigerated storage (40°F).

VACUUM GENERATOR PLATFORM
Piab developed piCOMPACT 23 SMART, an IO-link-ready vacuum generator platform that provides point-to-point links between sensors and actuators. It can be used with any type of fieldbus, enabling users to link together different systems within a plant. The piCOMPACT 23 SMART comes equipped with casings and electrical enclosures that fulfill the IP65 standard as well as the ability to withstand water. This allows it to be installed closer to the usage point with no need for extra protective measures.

FOOD-GRADE AMMONIA COMPRESSOR LUBRICANT
Emerson released the Vilter 717FG food-grade ammonia compressor high-performance lubricant for use with reciprocating and rotary screw compressors and other ammonia refrigeration applications. Vilter 717FG provides excellent thermal, oxidative and hydrolytic stability, and its low pour point allows the product to remain effective in applications where temperature extremes are required.

MONORAIL SCALE FOR MEAT PROCESSING FACILITIES
Fairbanks Scales released the new 5270 Series Monorail Scale, ideal for installation with an existing hanging monorail trolley line at high-output meat processing facilities. As product moves along the monorail, it pauses momentarily on the 5270 Series Monorail Scale and accurately captures the product’s weight before it’s moved to the next processing station.

Yale Materials Handling Corp. debuted the Yale MPE060-080VH end riders, which feature a comprehensive lineup of ergonomic, productivity-enhancing and maintenance-friendly features. The optional extended platform provides over 30% more usable foot space and the Ultra Cushion helps reduce shock and vibration. The Precision Pick feature enables precise bi-directional control of speed and coast functions at the press of a button. Plus, it’s designed with extended service intervals of up to 1,000 hours. The LED platform and fork lights improve visibility in low light or congested areas. The Smart Shift bundle enables shortcuts to improve operator efficiency. For instance, operators raise and lower forks with a single touch, and use the cruise control system to relax over long hauls. The Smart Acceleration feature automatically selects two distinct acceleration profiles based on application, load and task, while Yale Smart Slow Down automatically reduces speed in cornering for improved stability.

AUTOMATIC ROLL SPLICER
Butler Automatic introduced several design improvements and features to its 2019 SP1 automatic roll splicer. The ease-of-use design improvements include new HMI graphics, air intake and splice-prepared monitoring, web break detection and web stop, omni-directional adjustable brackets for core sensors, adjustable, integrated exit idlers, base-mounted automatic web alignment, sealed stainless-steel roller bearings and a more robust mainframe nip assembly.
